From USLSoccer.com | The largest edition of the USL Winter Summit took place, from December 10 - 12, at the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld as the organization welcomes more than 750 team executives, staff members and technical staffs to the resort for three days to continue preparations for the 2020 USL Championship, USL League One and USL League Two seasons.
The annual event has become one of the most popular in the USL’s calendar, with tailored programming for attendees that offer insights, new ideas and discussion platforms in the areas of operations, ticketing, merchandise, communications and social media among others. This year’s event will see presentations and panels featuring leading executives across the Championship, League One, and League Two, as well as a selection of guest speakers who are leaders in their respective fields.
“The Winter Summit is one of our most important events of the year,” said USL President Jake Edwards. “It not only offers the chance for all of us to reflect, assess and improve on another tremendous year across all of our leagues, but also for team executives and staff to gain valuable insight from their peers. We look forward to seeing everyone together.”
A new addition this year to the Winter Summit is the USL Career Fair presented by TeamWork Online, which will feature presentations by USL Chief Operating Officer Justin Papadakis and Vice President of People Rachel Bukszar, as well as the opportunity for attendees looking to make a move into the business of soccer to meet executives from numerous Championship and League One clubs.
The annual USL Trade Show will continue to be a prominent element at the event, with members of the USL’s Preferred Supplier Program and other specialist vendors among those set to be hosting exhibits throughout the Winter Summit.
"The Winter Summit marked electrifying initiatives for both the club and the league as a whole." exclaimed Club Executive Director, Marco Balsamo. "While we're not able to disclose what those initiatives are yet, we can proudly say that they will change the landscape for both our club and American soccer for the betterment of players. We're incredibly excited and can say that 2020 will be a landmark year for everyone."
