Youth Product Keirol Aaron Signs For Professional German Side

2001 club youth product, Keirol Aaron has signed his first professional contract with German side Ratingen 04/19, playing in the Oberliga Niederrhein. Keirol is one of the club's brightest youth products, who excelled playing in the 2001 age group. This past summer, Keirol was promoted to the U-23 side under Coach Joe Balsamo and was in consideration for the USL League Two.

FAEuro.com recently spoke with Keirol, who is currently in Germany, regarding the experience.

FAEuro.com: "What were your initial reactions and feeling knowing that you have signed your first professional contract?"

Aaron: "It’s a dream come true. The first thing I did was tell my mom. She's my number one supporter. Both of my parents worked extra hard and sacrificed a lot in order to help me focus on my dream. I’m happy that I am able to share this moment with them. I still feel like a normal eighteen-year-old kid but the fact that I get to live out a life long dream of mine still feels surreal. I wouldn't be able to reach this point in my professional life without the support of my family. I owe it all to them."

FAEuro.com: "Any comments or words of advice you’d like to give to aspiring players who want to make it to the next level?"

Aaron: "Looking back, I was so unsure of achieving my dreams of playing professionally because I had constant doubt. I always felt I was never “good” enough or “big” enough to make it. The amount of times I wanted to give up was countless. Self determination, discipline, and patience is key. If a player does not have possess traits, they will find it tough to make it not only as a player, but in life. Only you can tell yourself "no." Keep working hard and don’t give up. It’s always better to try and fail than to not try at all and end up wondering of the “What-ifs.” Just work hard, do your best and listen to those who have you in their best interest. They want to see you succeed.

FAEuro.com: "Can you reflect on your time at F.A. Euro?"

Aaron: F.A. Euro has helped me in many different ways, both as a young man and a footballer. This is not a club, it is a family and I would love to thank every member for the help along the way. The success to come in the future is not only for me, but it is for everyone who has been along my side. I'd like to give a special thanks to Coach Glendon who has gifted me the opportunity to play for such a wonderful organization. I will never forget the experiences and memories made, and would llike to thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

FAEuro.com: "What are your goals for the 2020 season with Ratingen?"

Aaron: My season goals with Ratingen is to help the team go on to win the league. That is our main priority at the moment. We can see the finish line from here, all we have to do is remain focused and hungry. Personally, I wish to climb the ladder and become a key first team player, but I would not be able to accomplish these goals without the help from my supportive teammates.

All of F.A. Euro New York would like to thank Keirol for his terrific contributions made at the club and wish him the best of luck on this new, exciting chapter in his now professional football career. Forza Keirol!
